  • Poor concentration
  • Loss of appetite
  • Headache
  • Tiredness
  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation

How do I prevent jet lag?

  • Try to fly during the day so that you arrive in the evening and can go to sleep during the evening.
  • Get rest before departure.
  • Try to get your biological clock used to the upcoming time by having your meals according to the new time zone, try to sleep during the flight based on the new timezone, and adjust your watch immediately upon landing.
  • Avoid stimulants like caffeine.
  • Eat healthy before and during your trip.

How can I treat jet lag?

  • Take melatonin supplements upon landing to help to sleep. Your sleep will be more restful and you’ll wake up better prepared.

  • Try working into the new time zone about three days ahead of time by going to bed an hour later or earlier and waking up an hour later or earlier. By the time you leave you should be on the new time zone’s time.
  • Be active on your flight. Don’t just sit there and fly. Get up, take a walk. This is good for your body in general but also helps to get your mind moving so that you’re ready to rest.
  • Help your body clock adjust upon arrival by taking a walk during the daylight hours and closing up your room tightly when it’s time so sleep so that your body readjusts its rhythms.
  • Give your feet a relaxing massage.
  • Have a cup of warm milk with a pinch of nutmeg and ginger to help settle your stomach.
  • Before flying have some ginger tea or take ginger capsules to help control digestive ailments.
