Remove and Prevent Scars Naturally

Get rid of scars without scar removal creams, laser treatments or other procedures and products that will simply inflame and aggravate your skin. Natural remedies are gentle, and though they take time to work are better in the long run. They won’t harm your body or cost a lot of money and they work on acne scars, face scars, body scars and burn scars! There are three phases to scars – inflammatory, proliferative and maturation. How can I prevent Scars?

  • Don’t pick at scabs. Let the skin beneath them heal on its own and let the scab fall away naturally.
  • Don’t pick at your acne. Just let it go. Exfoliate, cleanse, tone and moisturize but don’t pick.
  • Keep scars hidden from sunlight and they will lighten and eventually disappear.

How do I treat Scars?

  • Rub some lemon juice on a darkly colored scar. It will act as a bleach, just be careful not to expose it to sunlight or it will worsen the scar by blistering.
  • Massage rosehip seed oil into a scar twice a day to help reduce the appearance of scares.
  • Gently rub an ice cube on the scar to help the tissue contract.
  • Apply aloe vera gel to a scar. It helps to reduce inflammation and give scar tissue the elasticity it needs to help diminish.
  • Honey can be rubbed into a scar to help remove it. Mix with a crushed aspirin for pimple scars!
  • Make a paste of sandalwood and rosewater or milk. Rub over scars and leave for an hour then wash away with cold water.
  • Soak almonds overnight, peel off the skins and mash into a paste, then mix with rosewater and apply to scars.
  • Potato juice can be used on a scars to help them fade.
  • Coconut oil will help scars reduce over time.
  • Lavender oil helps to dry up scar tissue.
  • Make a fenugreek paste and apply to scars to help them disappear.
  • Olive oil can be applied to scars to help moisturize the skin and soften the scar tissue. It also loosens dead skin cells so they can more easily be exfoliated away.
  • Make a paste of yogurt, barley and turmeric. Apply to burn scars to help reduce pain and swelling.
  • Vitamin E oil works like olive oil. Spread on a scar and watch it begin to disappear.
  • Cocoa butter helps to reduce scars and moisturize skin. It smooths scar tissue so healing can complete.
  • Make a paste of baking soda and water. Apply to a scar and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Repeat three times a week.
  • To help fade acne scars make a gentle face wash of apple cider vinegar and water. Wash with your face to help cleanse it and reduce the appearance of scars.
  • Make a salt scrub with a little papaya. Gently scrub away scars two or three times a week.
  • The tanins in tea help to reduce the appearance of scars. Use chamomile tea bags for their soothing properties.
  • Massage your scars whenever you think about it. Rolling and rubbing them helps to break down the scar tissue.
