How do I treat Ovarian Cancer?

  • Alternative treatments should be done in conjunction with traditional medicine in order to boost your chances of defeating cancer.
  • Increase your intake of vegetables, particularly the cruciferous veggies as they can help to fight off the cancer cells.
  • Avoid dairy! Dairy just adds extra strain to the body making it harder to focus on defeating cancer.
  • Increase your intake of foods with vitamin E.
  • Get plenty of sunlight. Sunlight helps to increase your vitamin D which helps your body absorb calcium. Deficiencies with both have been linked to ovarian cancer.
  • Ginger helps to heat the body which can kill off cancer cells naturally. Plus it’s an anti-inflammatory and helps to reduce pain.
  • Soy and red clover have isoflavones which help to reduce the toxins in the body after chemo and radiation therapies. Plus it helps to prevent the spread of cancer cells.
  • Shiitake mushrooms help to inhibit cancer cells.
  • Watch out for dehydration and make sure you are getting plenty of fluids.
  • If you’re nauseated by cancer treatments, go ahead and have a little ginger candy or tea to help settle your stomach. Don’t like ginger? Try peppermint.
  • Make sure you’re getting enough sleep. Sleep gives the body a chance to turn up it’s infection fighting abilities because it’s not busy doing the things it does while you’re awake.
