How do I prevent jet lag?

  • Try to fly during the day so that you arrive in the evening and can go to sleep during the evening.
  • Get rest before departure.
  • Try to get your biological clock used to the upcoming time by having your meals according to the new time zone, try to sleep during the flight based on the new timezone, and adjust your watch immediately upon landing.

  • Be active on your flight. Don’t just sit there and fly. Get up, take a walk. This is good for your body in general but also helps to get your mind moving so that you’re ready to rest.
  • Help your body clock adjust upon arrival by taking a walk during the daylight hours and closing up your room tightly when it’s time so sleep so that your body readjusts its rhythms.
  • Give your feet a relaxing massage.
  • Have a cup of warm milk with a pinch of nutmeg and ginger to help settle your stomach.
